Real nappies will always save you money in the long run – they may have a larger up front cost than throw away nappies but you could save £600 over the nappy life of just one baby, and more if you sell the nappies on or use them for another baby.
This section has some tried and tested cloth nappies that are cheap to buy and easy to use. They may not have all the frills of the more expensive cloth nappies, but they will serve you well.
Perhaps you could start with some terry squares (with a patterned wrap) and add a few funky nappies for special occasions.
You will save even more money if you switch from disposable baby wipes and use cloth baby wipes instead.
