Who Should Buy the ERGObaby Sport Carrier?

With the combination of 65% polyester and 35% cotton, the ERGObaby Sport is an ideal choice for parents in warmer climates. The vent below the hood pocket also keeps both parent and baby cooler.

Parents with larger frames love the ERGObaby Sport, since the shoulder straps extend an extra 4 inches (to 27 inches), and the waist belt extends an extra 5 inches(to 48 inches). The waist extension can also be used with the ERGObaby Sport. However, the ERGObaby Sport can also accommodate smaller parents, since the waist belt cinches to 30 inches, making it an ideal choice for families with babywearers of different sizes!

Will the ERGObaby Sport Carrier fit people with smaller frames?

For petite people with waists measuring 30 inches or less, we recommend wearing the waist belt around the hips. If the ERGObaby Sport Carrier is still too loose, we recommend one of our Standard or Organic ERGObaby Carriers.

The ERGObaby Sport Carrier is an exciting new design! Made of a blend of 35% cotton and 65% polyester, the lighter, more-breathable fabric provides a slight wicking feature to help keep babywearers more comfortable. The carrier's body features a vent to provide additional breathability, keeping both baby and parent cooler. The waist belt can extend an additional 5" further than our Standard or Organic carriers, and the shoulder straps can extend an extra 4", providing comfortable fit for babywearers of all sizes. The Sleeping Hood is completely detachable and can be stored in the built-in pocket.

SLEEPING HOOD	The Sleeping Hood has elastic added to both sides to better fit to your baby's head.	The Sleeping Hood is completely detachable and can be stored in the built-in pocket.	The Performance Carrier’s sleeping hood is attached, and stores in the zippered pocket.
BODY	The body of the carrier is padded with 100% cotton batting and lined with 100% cotton poplin. Shaped darts help create an accentuated pouch to hold your baby.	The body is made of a blend of 35% cotton and 65% polyester. The lighter, more-breathable fabric provides a slight wicking feature to help keep babywearers more comfortable. The carrier's body features a vent to provide additional breathability, keeping both baby and parent cooler.	The Performance Carrier features an exterior of 98% polyester/2% lycra (Grey) or 70% nylon/30% cotton (Green). Performance carriers also have a cooling panel for extra wicking, and a mesh lining. Due to the difference in fabrics, the ERGObaby Performance Carrier is about 1/3 lighter weight than the ERGObaby Sport, Original, or Organic carriers.
WAIST BELT	The padded WAIST BELT adjusts from 25 inches to 43 inches, with a 2 inches wide buckle and elastic safety loop. The padded WAIST BELT features reinforced buckles with elastic safety loops to ensure maximum buckle security. Extra length can be rolled up and secured under elastic loops at the end of the strap.	The ERGObaby Sport's WAIST BELT has an additional 5" more than our Standard or Organic carriers. The ERGObaby Sport's WAIST BELT adjusts from 30" to 48". The padded WAIST BELT features reinforced buckles with elastic safety loops to ensure maximum buckle security. Extra length can be rolled up and secured under elastic loops at the end of the strap.	The ERGObaby Performance Carrier has a waist belt that can extend an extra 5 inches past the length of our Original or Organic ERGObaby Carriers, accommodating from 25 inches to 48 inches. The waist extension accessory is not compatible with the Performance carriers.
SHOULDER STRAPS	The shoulder straps are curved, and offer longer padding to accommodate longer torsos. The buckles are newly designed and reinforced, with elastic at the ends to store extra length.	The ERGObaby Sport Carrier’s shoulder straps are straight, as the Original and Organic Carriers, and can extend to 27 inches.	The Performance Carrier’s shoulder straps are contoured; feature thinner, non-water-absorbent foam; and extend to 23 inches, like the Original and Organic ERGObaby Carrier’s straps.
BACK POCKET	The BACK POCKET is closed at the top and features a side zipper closure and a small pocket for storage of the Sleeping Hood. CHEST STRAP	The Chest strap features "runners" around the shoulder straps to secure the chest strap and prevent it from being removed and misplaced.
