A few things to look for:

• does the website look professional?
  
• is a phone number clearly displayed?
  
• are they VAT registered? (Our VAT number is GB 850 5307 44 by the way)
  
• do they have a real physical address, not just a PO Box Number?
   

Can you contact the shop if anything goes wrong?

Online sellers must display a working phone number – look out for sites that hide their phone number or only have a mobile number listed.

You can tell if a website has a secure server by looking for a “s” in the address of the website, so “http://www” will change to “https://www”. 

Also look for the padlock symbol in your browser bar (the bit that tells you what site you are on).
